Elevate Radial Systems
In this case, a pair of phased verticals are elevated 12 feet above ground and rigged with 25 elevated counterpoise wires 1/4-wavelength long. This distributes return currents equally amongst wires in each counterpoise system.
16 Counterpoise Wires
When phasing a pair of elevated verticals, it is important to not use two or four elevated wires; a minimum of sixteen (16) are required. This enhances mutual coupling between the two vertical radiators by distributing return currents symmetrically in their respective counterpoise systems. Very important.
